After more than two years of geological surveys, resource exploration, mineral analysis and application testing, through various efforts, Guangda Company has successfully acquired a large high-quality mining area in Ipoh, Malaysia. This mining area is located in the Rambutan area of Ipoh. The mining area covers 400 acres, is 2 kilometers away from the main highway and 85 kilometers away from the shipping terminal. The transportation and logistics are very convenient. The mining area belongs to a low mountain and hilly terrain. The lowest altitude in the mining area is 114 meters and the highest altitude is 298 meters. The open-pit mining conditions are good. The proven reserves are now 370 million tons, including 120 million tons of kaolin and 25 million tons of high-quality quartz. The mining area has currently made an open-pit mining plan. The first phase of the mining area is about 20 acres and has received orders from domestic and foreign users. According to the raw ore mined in the initial stage and the processed products, samples have been continuously put on the market in recent years. From the scale of mineral resources to the grade of products, it is deeply recognized by peers. It has caused a huge response at home and abroad. Peers spontaneously visit the mining area from home and abroad for sampling one after another. As early as before 2015, Hengyuan Mining had already realized the change in environmental protection policies and predicted that major changes would occur in the mining of mineral resources in China. On this basis, Hengyuan Mining actively responded to the call of the country's "Belt and Road Initiative" and laid out overseas resource investigations in advance.
The Rambutan kaolin mine in Ipoh is a coastal low mountain and hilly terrain with developed vegetation and abundant water sources. The lowest elevation in the mining area is 130 meters, the highest elevation is 298 meters, the maximum height difference is 168 meters, and the average height difference is about 135 meters. The local economic cooperative has cleared the plants and woods in the mining area and built circular mountain roads for going up and down the mountain (available for cars to drive). At the same time, a 64-meter terraced level has been built. The mining area has actually completed artificial renovation and has good mining conditions.
For pit exploration, the team of Hengyuan Mining used medium and large excavators to carry out comprehensive excavation and pit exploration in the mining area. Through the exploration pit, the state of shallow kaolin is exposed, samples are collected and geological identification is carried out. At the same time, component detection is carried out, and fruitful results are achieved.
For geophysical exploration, through geophysical exploration, the layered structure and changes of the kaolin ore body 80 to 100 meters below the surface are determined. The resistivity physical detection method is selected, including 2 2D linear profiles and 10 cross-profiles, forming two 2D linear profile imaging and five 3D stereo imaging, providing an important basis for mining design and reserve calculation.
For drilling, drilling engineering is an important work of this exploration. A total of 10 drill holes with a total length of 602 meters have been completed, forming six geological sections. On the one hand, it verifies the geophysical imaging, and on the other hand, it controls the reserves of the first phase of the mining area.
It is planned to invest 500 million yuan for plant construction, comprehensive mining and deep processing of kaolin and quartzite, with an annual production capacity of 1 million tons.
